"Positive number" is a mathematical term that refers to a number greater than zero. In other words, it is any number on the right side of zero on the number line, including the zero itself. Positive numbers are often denoted by a plus sign (+) before the number, but this is not always necessary as it is the default assumption if no sign is given.

For example, the numbers 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ... are all positive numbers. Negative numbers, on the other hand, are those that are less than zero and are located to the left of zero on the number line.
