Double bogey什麼意思
"Double bogey" is a term used in the sport of golf to describe a score of two strokes over par on a single hole. In golf, each hole on a course is assigned a par value, which is the number of strokes an expert golfer is expected to need to complete the hole. For example, a par-4 hole means the hole is designed to be completed in four strokes.
If a golfer takes five strokes to complete a par-4 hole, they have recorded a bogey. A double bogey means the golfer has taken two strokes more than the par value of the hole. This can happen due to a variety of reasons, such as missing the green and having a difficult chip shot, finding a bad lie, or simply not executing the shots well.
In contrast, a "double eagle" or "albatross" is a score that is very good, referring to completing a hole in three strokes under par.
