Tying strategy意思
"Tying strategy" is a business strategy where a company sells two or more products together that are often used together, but could be sold separately. The idea is to tie the sale of one product to the sale of another, with the goal of increasing sales of both products.
For example, a computer manufacturer might use a tying strategy by selling a computer with a printer. The manufacturer might offer a discount on the printer when it is purchased with the computer, or might require the purchase of the printer to get the best price on the computer.
Tying strategies can be effective because they can make it more convenient for customers to purchase the products they need, and can also help to lock in customers to a particular brand or product line. However, tying strategies can also be controversial, and may be illegal in some cases if they are used to stifle competition or if they are used to force customers to buy products they do not want or need.
