Sell through意思
"Sell through" is a term used in the retail and supply chain industries to describe the process of selling products from a manufacturer to the end consumer. It refers to the point at which a product is sold to a customer and leaves the retailer's inventory.
The term is often used in the context of inventory management and sales performance. Retailers and manufacturers use sell-through rates to measure the effectiveness of their sales strategies and to forecast future demand for products.
For example, if a retailer orders 100 units of a product and sells 80 units within a certain period, the sell-through rate for that product would be 80%. This information can be used to determine whether to reorder the product, adjust the price, or change the marketing strategy to increase sales.
Sell-through is different from "sell-in," which refers to the initial sale of a product from a manufacturer to a retailer or distributor. Sell-through focuses on the final sale of the product to the consumer, while sell-in is the first sale in the distribution chain.
