Run rate意思
"Run rate" is a term commonly used in the context of cricket, but it can also be applied to other sports or contexts where it refers to the rate at which something is progressing or being achieved.
In cricket, the run rate refers to the number of runs scored per over or per innings. It is calculated by dividing the total number of runs scored by the number of overs bowled, or by the number of innings played. For example, if a team scores 150 runs in 30 overs, the run rate would be 5 runs per over (150 runs / 30 overs = 5 runs per over).
The run rate is an important statistic in cricket, as it can be used to predict the likely outcome of a match, and it is also used to determine the net run rate, which is a tiebreaker in some tournaments to decide which teams progress to the next stage.
Outside of cricket, "run rate" could refer to the rate at which something is being produced or consumed, for example, the run rate of a factory might be the number of units produced per hour, or the run rate of a sales team might be the amount of revenue generated per month.
