Median age意思

"Median age" is a statistical term that refers to the age that divides a population into two halves, such that half the population is older than the median age and half is younger. In other words, it is the age at which 50% of the population is younger and 50% is older.

For example, if the median age in a country is 30, it means that half the population is younger than 30 years old, and half is older than 30.

The median age is often used to describe the age distribution of a population. A younger median age suggests a population with a larger proportion of younger people, while an older median age indicates a population with a larger proportion of older people.
