Long call意思
"Long call" is a term used in the context of trading options, particularly in stock markets. It refers to an options trading strategy where an investor buys a call option, which gives them the right to buy a stock (or other underlying asset) at a specific price (the strike price) before a certain date (the expiration date).
When an investor is "long" an option, it means they have purchased the option. In the case of a long call, the investor has the potential to profit if the price of the underlying asset increases above the strike price plus the cost of the option premium (the amount paid for the option). The profit is realized when the investor exercises the option and buys the stock at the strike price and then sells it in the market at a higher price, or when they sell the call option for a higher price before it expires.
Long calls are a bullish strategy, meaning they are used when an investor believes that the price of the underlying asset will rise. If the investor's prediction is correct and the price of the stock increases, they can make a profit. However, if the price of the stock decreases, the investor may lose some or all of their investment in the call option, depending on the price at which they bought the option and the price at which they sell or exercise it.
