Jihad意思

"Jihad" is an Arabic word meaning "struggle" or "striving." In Islamic context, it is often used to refer to a religious duty of Muslims to maintain the religion. This duty can take many forms, including the struggle within oneself to live according to Islamic values, the struggle against injustice and oppression, and in some interpretations, the use of force to defend Islam and the Muslim community (ummah).
