Half tone意思
"Half tone" or "half step" is a musical term that refers to the smallest interval between two adjacent notes in Western music. In other words, it is the distance between one note and the very next note without skipping any in between. For example, the distance between C and C# (C sharp), or between A and Bb (B flat), is a half step.
In contrast, a "whole tone" or "whole step" is twice the size of a half step, so it encompasses two half steps. For instance, the distance between C and D, or between G and A, is a whole step.
Half tones are a fundamental building block of scales, chords, and melodies in Western music. They are also used in the formation of intervals, such as minor and major thirds, and in the construction of the chromatic scale, which consists entirely of half steps.
