Cubism意思
Cubism is an art movement that emerged in the early 20th century, primarily in France. It was pioneered by Pablo Picasso and Georges Braque, and later joined by artists such as Juan Gris and Fernand Léger. Cubism is characterized by its unique approach to representing reality, breaking it down into geometric forms and fragments, and reassembling it in a flat, two-dimensional composition.
The name "Cubism" comes from the way in which the movement's artists broke objects down into basic geometric shapes, often cubes, and then reassembled these shapes to create a new, abstracted image. This approach to representation was revolutionary at the time, as it challenged the traditional perspective and spatial conventions of Western art.
Cubism can be divided into two phases: Analytic Cubism (1909-1912) and Synthetic Cubism (1912-1919). Analytic Cubism was a more monochromatic and fragmented style, while Synthetic Cubism saw the introduction of collage and a more varied use of color.
The impact of Cubism on the art world was significant, influencing many other art movements that followed, including Surrealism, Abstract Expressionism, and Pop Art. It also had a broader cultural impact, influencing fashion, architecture, and design.
