Cross camber意思

"Cross camber" is a term used in road design and construction, specifically in reference to the alignment and slope of roads. It refers to the situation where the camber (the lateral slope of the road surface) is not consistent across the width of the road. In a cross cambered road, the slope of the road surface changes from one side to the other, rather than being uniform across the entire width of the road.

For example, in a cross cambered road, one edge of the road might have a steeper slope than the other, or the slope might change gradually or abruptly across the width of the road. This can be done for a variety of reasons, such as to drain water more effectively, to accommodate the curvature of the road, or to provide a smoother ride for vehicles.

Cross camber can also be used more generally to refer to any situation where the camber of an object or structure is not uniform across its width.
