Capacitance意思

"Capacitance" is a physical property of a device or a material that indicates its ability to store electrical energy in an electric field. It is the property of a capacitor to store electrical energy. The capacitance of a capacitor is defined as the ratio of the electric charge on each conductor to the potential difference between them.

Mathematically, capacitance (C) is expressed as:

C = Q / V

where Q is the electric charge on each conductor, and V is the potential difference (voltage) between them.

The SI unit of capacitance is the farad (F), which is defined as one coulomb per volt (1F = 1C/V). However, smaller values of capacitance are usually measured in microfarads (μF), nanofarads (nF), or picofarads (pF).

Capacitors are widely used in electrical circuits for various purposes, including filtering, tuning, energy storage, and coupling and decoupling signals. The capacitance of a capacitor can be increased by increasing the size of its plates, the distance between them, or the dielectric constant of the material between the plates.
